FAA Remote ID

FAA Remote ID requires most drones operating in the United States to broadcast identification, position and operator information over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Compliance can be built into the aircraft, provided by a separate module, or achieved through a broadcast module flown alongside the drone. Buyers should confirm which method a platform uses before ordering, since retrofit solutions affect weight and flight time. Note that Remote ID compliance is separate from the aircraft registration requirement that applies to commercial operators.
