Overview
The cooperatives had been spraying with two manned aircraft that required a dedicated strip and a five-day notification window before each pass. A single 25-litre platform with a 22-minute flight time covers roughly 20 hectares per battery cycle, so a 168-hectare block completes in a morning with two battery swaps. Spreading accuracy was verified against sample paper across three blocks and held within ±1.5 metres. Water consumption per hectare fell by 31 per cent, which matters more than the time saving because the region allocates irrigation quota by volume. The main operational constraint was morning dew, which exceeded the payload limit within an hour of sunrise, moving the spray window to 08:30 to 11:00.
